Checking in from the road. I don't mind telling you kiddies.... I am
tired, tired, tired. I love the shows, but the traveling and lack of
sleep always seem to catch up with me around this time of a tour.

After the gig in Allentown we went to NY for a long over due photo
shoot. (This was even more overdue than the new record!) We worked
with a photographer named Danny Clinch. Super talented guy that took
amazing pics. We started out at Adam's place and I could tell right
away it was going to be special. He uses natural light and takes
everyday scenes and situations and makes them look spectacular. It
helps to feel like you're accomplishing something while you are running
around NY for 12 hours straight in make-up.

The second day of shooting went a lot quicker and I found myself free
at 7 in the evening. I called a buddy to try for last minute tickets
to the US Open. I didn't hear back right away so I began thinking of
my dinner plans in the van as we rumbled down the road back to
Manhattan. Suddenly, the welcome sound of a new text message came in
on my phone that read: "Tickets for you at Will Call tonight in Nike
box. Whatever you do, don't wear Adidas!" I quickly sprung in to
action and had the van pull over so I could hail a taxi to Flushing
Meadows. It wasn't until midway through the first match that my friend
remarked, "Nice make-up." It was still great to be at the US Open and
of course Nadal kicked ass!

I hope all of you have been enjoying the shows. If we are not careful,
you will know the entire new album before it even comes out. As I have
said before, if you are not able to make one of these shows, hang tight
because this is just the beginning.
