Oh my God! Do we actually have a gig? I am learning to enjoy this time off thing but I am looking forward to playing a show and as always hanging out in NY. I was actually just there in late October doing some TV with Amy Grant and KebMo. It is different being in a band because I can't run off and do other tours like I use to...you never know when something will come up. I'm a company man now so the gig with Amy and Kevin was perfect because it was only a week and a half. The whole band was great by the way and those two were amazing musicians and super nice people. We started off by recording eight songs in Nashville for iTUNES, then off to LA for Leno, and finally to NY for the yakking women's show The View.

I hope all of you voted this month. I have been more than a little depressed about the outcome. The thing that troubles me the most is that people actually believe we are in Iraq to fight terrorism when really we are over there promoting it. We have re-elected a President that is having us act alone and continues to alienate us from the rest of the world. I have been traveling all my life and I have never seen our global position this bad.
FYI, Counting Crows comprise of six democrats who actually study the issues but do not use the band's name to voice their political opinions.

I will be out and about in NY during the week of the show and I hope those of you who wanted tickets were able to get them. If I could put all of you on my guest list, I would! See you soon!
