June Journal
Every year I take a long break from writing any journals after the summer touring is over. This year is no different as I haven't checked in since November. Never much to report during this time unless anyone is interested in my latest house projects!
These days I am more than ready to get back out on the road and play some shows. Should be a rested band, very happy to be on stage. Other than working on my house, I keep busy playing the odd gig here and there and working in the recording studio on various projects. One project that might be of interest to Counting Crows fans is with my good buddies Patrick Winningham and Dan Vickrey. We decided that some of these songs needed to be recorded, so we set up in Dan's living room and got to work. Not sure exactly what we will do with these, but very happy to get this stuff on tape. This was done the old fashioned way with everyone in the same room playing into a bunch of open mikes. Between songs I would always run downstairs into Dan's kitchen for a quick cup of tea and to steal from the endless supply of chocolate covered raisins...... Mmmmmm chocolate covered raisins.

Hope you enjoy listening to a short preview of Mercy. Please check back in as I will be adding some more from these sessions, and a few others from some different artists. Won't be long before we will be coming to your town, or hopefully at the very least somewhere close enough. As always I look forward to seeing everyone and playing my heart out every night.
Until then,
JimDog
