So far...so good. We have been out for about a month now and I am starting to get my road legs back. The bay area shows are always a highlight because we have our friends and family there but I was glad to get out alive. We have been shaking up the setlist as much as possible. I can't remember ever (since I have been in the band) playing so many songs from August and Everything After. Of course that too will change as well roll on but I have really enjoyed playing Anna Begins and Time and Time Again. Right before we took off for the road, my Dad and I did a special presentation at Cornell Elementary for my girlfriend's fifth grade class. My Dad plays trumpet in the San Francisco Symphony and we both gave a little talk about the history of our instruments before playing some tunes together a la White Stripes...No, we didn't play any Counting Crows songs but the Darth Vader theme from Star Wars was a big hit! I will try and check in again soon. Thanks to everyone that has come out to the shows and hope to see the rest of you out here soon. I will say that the band is playing very inspired and our boy has been singing his ass off! Cheers, Jim
