Jim's Journal

August 7, 2004
Greetings from the beautiful bay area!

Well, I made it through yet another tour. To fully relax on my return home I decided to play a gig with Chuck Prophet. It was lots of fun as always but I have decided to pass on his upconing tour with the Old 97's and actually take some real time off. Chuck's new record is coming out soon and I (Marsha) will put a track or two on the website for anyone interested in checking it out. Chucky writes amazing songs, we had a great time in the studio and this stuff is well worth a listen.

We will see how long it takes before I get bored playing sports but I have already talked to Immergluck and it looks like we will play some Glider shows very soon and maybe even record some songs so stay tuned. In the meantime, I am leaving for a Maui vacation with non other than Dave Bryson. Please don't be jealous, I think we've earned it.

Oh, I almost forgot. I will be playing another show at Cafe Du Nord on Sunday, August 29th, with Patrick Winningham featuring our Counting Crows' buddy Dan Vickrey on guitar. I hope to see some of you there.

Cheers, Jim
