Seems like the holiday season comes along and most people get really busy, but for me..... life..... just.... s l o w s down. I know once our record is released and I have been out on the road for a year or two I will be begging for any time off, but that's not the way it works. So, after about two weeks of down time, I get a bit antsy.

I have been working a little with Glider and even did a show with Dan Vickrey in San Francisco. Once in a while Dan will put together a Tender Mercies show. We never rehearse but somehow the gigs always end up being great. I really enjoy playing with Dan in this context. Just like Glider there is only four of us playing so there is more room to be loose and free flowing . Basically I don't have six monkeys up there at once that I have to take account of.

Now I have turned my attention to finishing my second record with Aidan Hawken. I think this guy is an amazing singer/songwriter and really enjoy working with him. Click HERE to listen to "Take In" from the first record Pillows and Records. This song is also being used in a Adidas commercial in Europe, although (surprise) I have yet to see a check. Starting this month we will move the party over to Dave Bryson for a few over dubs and some mixing. Check back in if you like what you hear because we will be putting some new tracks up with Bryson tweaking the knobs. Hopefully he will lay off the suck button!

Finally, I want to thank most of you for having patience on the new record. I realize it has been a very long time and it is a real drag to have further delays. No one is more frustrated than us, but we will get things right, you will love it, and it will be well worth the wait.
