JULY UPDATE...from the road
Just a quick greeting from the road. I have been enjoying the shows this summer, it definitely feels good to be touring again. It has been an extra bonus backing up rapper Notar as well. Not usually the kind of music I get to play out here to say the least, but I do enjoy the variety.
Last night we played to a huge crowd at Universal Studios in Orlando. Before the show some park representatives came back to take us on a tour. "Harry Potter" I blurted out, and off we went in a group including Adam, Charley, Immer and Emmy. I admit to being a little excited after hearing all the hubbub, then walking through the stunningly executed village, and finally making our way through the extremely detailed castle. The whole thing actually exceeded any expectations I had, except I hadn't anticipated one small detail..... the fact that the virtual ride would make me unbelievably sick! Perhaps it was punishment for cutting through the enormous lines? Even as show time had arrived hours later, I still felt dizzy and as if I could hurl at any moment. Happy to report that I somehow managed to make it through the show.
We will continue touring through August, but I will definitely be a little more careful with my pre-show activities.
